Educational Qualification:
- Applicants must have the Degree in Mining Engineering from a recognized university. First Class Mine Manager’s Certificate issued by DGMS, preferably Coal certificate with 20 years post qualification experience for General Manager of coal departmwent
- Candidates should hold Degree in Law from authorized institue/ University with 15 Years of experience for Deputy General Manager post.
- For candidates of Deputy General Manager in Department Information Technology should complete B. Tech (IT), Computer Science, B.Sc (Computer Science), MCA with Post Qualification 15 years of experience
- Applicants of Mnager – Minning should have
- Degree or Diploma in Mining Engineering from a recognized university or State Board. First Class Coal Mine Manager’s Certificate issued by DGMS with Experience of 3 year
- For Supervisor/fireman/Overman educate Diploma in Mining/ Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics. In the case of the Mining Diploma holder shall hold Overman’s Certificate issued by DGMS with Experience of 2 years.

Age Limits:
- Applicants should have the age not exceeding in 56 Years for General Manager posts.
- For all other posts candidates should not exceeding the age limit of 50 Years.
- Age relaxation will be admissible for requisite category as per govdernment guideline.
